Changing COVID Policies at the CDC
After last week’s two-years-late policy changes at the CDC regarding COVID,2 Ian Miller over at Unmasked goes scorched earth taking the CDC, Dr. Fauci and school districts to task:
Three key factions continue to work together in conjunction to prolong the pandemic.
- “Experts” like Dr. Fauci, whose massive ego led to a bewildering claim to stand for “truth,” have helped contribute legitimacy to school administrators incapable of moving past their politically motivated restrictions.
- The CDC, whose guidance that was much too late to fix the damage caused by their incompetence and who still haven’t ended the unscientific ban on unvaccinated travelers.
- And school administrators who appeal to authority to justify their inability to move past politically motivated restrictions.3

Brian Stelter is out at CNN
CNN has been on a firing spree for numerous reasons in the past year. Brian Stelter was the latest anchor to be fired. Stelter didn’t have a stellar record while at CNN. Watch Review of CNN’s Fake News Claims During Brian Stelter’s Tenure:
In addition, CNN CEO Chris Licht reportedly told staffer during a Friday editorial meeting call, “I want to acknowledge that this is a time of significant change, and I know that many of you are unsettled. There will be more changes, and you might not understand it or like it.”4
Billy Graham’s Four Rules
Billy Graham (and other ministers) were vilified afresh when Vice President Mike Pence announced in a March 2019 that he wouldn’t dine alone with a woman who wasn’t his wife. Here’s how The Grunge reported it:
Pence took a cue from another famous extremist, evangelical pastor and closeted anti-Semite Billy Graham, who had a similar rule himself.5
That was the “rule” that Billy Graham is most renown for. However, this helpful post highlights that it was one of four guidelines that Graham and his young 20-something team implemented waaaay back in their formative ministry days to seek to be above reproach.
- They renounced the temptation to “wring as much money as possible out of an audience.”
- Seek to “avoid any situation that would have even the appearance of compromise or suspicion” and so they didn’t travel, dine or meet alone with women who weren’t their wives.
- They sought “to avoid an antichurch or anticlergy attitude.”
- They renounced “the tendency among some evangelists… to exaggerate their successes or to claim higher attendance numbers than they really had.”6
The Failure of the Sexual Revolution
Louise Perry has a profound piece from the perspective of feminist about the absolute bankruptcy and failure of the sexual revolution of the 60s.
I used to believe the liberal narrative on the sexual revolution. As a younger woman, I held the same opinions as most other millennial urban graduates in the West. I conformed to the beliefs of my class.
I no longer believe any of this.
I’m not a religious conservative. I’m a feminist, and I’ve spent my entire professional life working on the issue of male violence against women—first in a rape crisis center, and later as a journalist and a media relations director for a legal campaign against sexual violence.
It’s precisely because I’m a feminist that I’ve changed my mind on sexual liberalism. It’s an ideology premised on the false belief that the physical and psychological differences between men and women are trivial, and that any restrictions placed on sexual behavior must therefore have been motivated by malice, stupidity or ignorance.7
