Ordinary Celebrity: Critter Fixers

If you’ve never heard of Critter Fixers, I guarantee that you'll be watching your first show after listening to this podcast. I'm excited to share with you the insight and gleanings from Dr. Terrence Ferguson and Dr. Vernard Hodges on this episode of the Ordinary Celebrity podcast.

Fresh off my interview with Elle Luna, author of The Crossroads Between Should and Must (listen to that episode here), I was pumped to see an email in my inbox from the Critter Fixer docs!

If you’ve never heard of Critter Fixers, I don’t know what to recommend for you first – whether to listen to this podcast or to hurry over to National Geographic streaming service and watch an episode (you won’t be able to watch just one!).

I’ve got to give my daughter and son-in-law credit. They recommended the show, and since we watched our first episode, we’ve been huge fans of these two vets who are long-time friends and truly winsome heroes. Their show is fantastic, and sprinkled in between moments of healing and hope are also real moments of grappling with grief and loss.

I reached out to Critter Fixers, and after some back and forth emails, we scheduled a podcast date. I wore my Razorback pullover to interview these two Georgia docs. Little did I know that they (well, Dr. Ferguson) also root for Alabama – a double-whammy in one interview.

I think you’ll truly enjoy this episode, and if you haven’t seen the show yet, I hope you are a future fan.

Listen here or on Apple Podcasts, Spotify or Anchor.fm.

This episode features Dr. Terrence Ferguson and Dr. Vernard Hodges, veterinarians at Critter Fixer Veterinary Hospital in Georgia. Dr. Ferguson and Dr. Hodges have been healing, helping and serving families and animals since 1999. In 2020, they were added to the lineup of National Geographic shows and which are available on Disney+. In this episode, the vets answer questions about dealing with celebrity, pivoting between patients and families on full days, maneuvering around their clinic with cameras and even Georgia (and Alabama) college football!
