A note from me: how to make me write more better
A quick note to my readers
Thanks so much for stopping by! If you enjoy the content, please subscribe to the RSS feed for more. Feel free to leave comments. Your participation enriches the blog!
There are three kinds of readers of my blog:
- Lurkers who include my mom, (I don’t think she misses an article, and she probably reads them out loud to my dad!), my wife and kids on occasion, friends and other digital lurkers.
- Complimentary subscribers. These include folks that I’ve “given” a subscription to in the hopes that they’ll enjoy, share and help me build a wider readership.
- New subscribers. These are wonderful new readers who found me through Substack or because one of the two groups above shared a link on social media.
Here’s how to make me write more better:
- Interact with the posts. Share them on your social media, but especially leave a comment on occasion. Yes… I know this requires one extra step of creating an account on Substack to do so. However, for all of us blogger/writers out there, we don’t want anonymous/mean commenters, so that extra step helps ensure that people will be civil in feedback (at least that’s the hope). Your comments help produce more conversation.
- Forward the posts to friends and encourage them to subscribe. I don’t know what “the magic number” of subscribers are to reach a critical mass, but I’m not there yet. I’m just shy of 100 subscribers, so your sharing posts helps.
- Give me writing prompts. As you know, I enjoy writing and communicating. If you’ve got a random idea for a post, I’d love to hear it. No guarantees, but… leave a comment with your thoughts!
