It’s time to dance again

Folks, it's been a year. No matter what we've done, the virus has claimed lives. Masks or no masks. Lockdowns or none. It's been humbling and depressing. Many want to blame authorities and see a conspiracy theory or broader narrative behind every motive and EO. It's tempting because they try to weave disparate realities into a metanarrative. But can we just.. not right now? Let's look forward to the coming dance.

“The collision between a Christian mind and a solidly earthbound culture ought to be a violent one.” ~ Harry Blamires

For pastors – “Play time is over. The spiritual battle is raging, and the field is full of wimps and boys who have never picked up a sword because it just “feels mean.” We need generals and leaders who don’t…

“[CDC Head] Walensky also noted six feet of social distancing is relatively flexible if there’s a low amount of community spread.” (Source) Get the word out.

A thirsty soul

Thirst is a good thing. Our need to drink reminds us that we are not self-sufficient. On a spiritual level, do you grasp that your *soul* was also created to thirst? Psalm 42 has some wonderful imagery about how to quench your deepest longings.

Supposedly more snow is heading our way! I am excited… but why, oh why, does it always hit our area on a weekend, and impact church?! ????
